WWF published rules, for those who goes to have a rest on the sea and wishes to help to keep the sea environment, in particular, ecologists recommend to avoid use of plastic packings and chemicals, not to buy the kinds of fish included in number disappearing, and also to save fresh water.
“Our planet which, more likely, it is necessary to name not the Earth, and Ocean, is sick also the reason of this illness – ourselves: in a pursuit of the comfort, a growing consumption level, all is impetuous also more intensively we extort natural resources, including oil on which all our modern civilisation” keeps, – Konstantin Zgurovsky, the head of sea program WWF of Russia which words are resulted in the organisation press release marks.
On the threshold of the World day of oceans, on June, 8th, WWF has prepared eight councils how to help to rescue ocean.
First of all, ecologists recommend not to buy fish and seafood from the kinds which are under the threat of destruction or from areas where its stocks are undermined.
“Vote a plug for the healthy seas… Learn in grocery shops and restaurants, whence undertake fish and seafood”, – defenders of the nature call.
Besides, WWF urges not to disturb sea birds and mammals, avoid their colonies and reproduction places.
Ecologists also remind that on the Earth there is not enough fresh water – all from 2,5 % to 3 %. “Each time when you take a shower, clean a teeth, wash ware, the car or water the garden – concern it economically. Do not suppose, that the crane remained opened without need. If you save at least 20 % of fresh water from that volume which usually use for a year such quantity of water can form lake in diameter 200 and depth of 2 metres”, – is told in the message.
WWF also urges not to leave dust on beaches, to take part in actions on cleaning of coast or to organise own garbage “eko-spot-check”. Ecologists also consider necessary refusal of plastic.
Besides, they urge not to use without need chemicals, medicines and synthetic washing-up liquids which, getting to water, lead to infringement of reproduction of sea and fresh-water fishes.
